Keep Public Lands in Public Hands

Wild public lands and abundant wildlife give the West its special character. The public understands this, and overwhelmingly supports leaving public lands in federal ownership.

Over the past five years here in New Mexico, we’ve fought bills in our State Legislature similar to others in states across the West which try to order the Federal government to turn public lands over to state control. Now we’re seeing bills in Congress which are trying to do just that.

Congress needs to hear from all Americans that we value our public lands. The vast majority of Americans don’t want public lands turned over to state governments, who will likely manage them for industrial destruction or sell them off entirely so they can be fenced off and adorned with ‘no trespassing’ signs. Congress needs to hear this directly from you. Write your Senators and Representative today to tell them to block the land-grab agenda in Congress.
